One thing re finding the replacement – I don’t remember you mentioning this before, so forgive me if you’ve done it, but my experience is you must call and speak to the applicant’s references. What people write and what they say in person are often quite different. I do hope you find someone good soon.

No place to go! My parents were also out of power and water and all the hotels were booked by other storm refugees. Plus we didn’t want to spend $$ on that and didn’t see it as much more comfortable than our house when combined with the kids.
