Definitely possible! Mine both were saying "kitty" recognizably by 8 months.

Are you doing baby signing with Ella? If she's already talking she would probably pick it up quickly. I seem to recall that you had great success signing with Gatito. Our younger one just turned one year and his signing "vocabulary" has exploded over the past month. It is so much fun to see. Watching my children acquire language has been one of the best aspects of being a parent.

Totally possible, especially for a younger one. My daughter (18 months) started saying an approximation for her older brother's name at 8 months, and it exploded from there. She's now combining two and three words. I think the younger ones speak much earlier than older ones, just because there is so much more language floating around the house. Sounds like a delightful weekend. I love those full and happy times where it is all fun and special activities rather than the usual routine.

What is this "free time" that you speak of? ;-)

Yes it is totally possible for her to start talking at 7 mos. Aaron said his first word "teddy" at nine months and he's been talking NON STOP ever since.

We saw How to Train Your Dragon last week and we loved it. It was scarier than I thought it would be, but the kids were unfazed.

Glad all is well!
