I’d like to take a class to help me use my DSLR camera better. My exposures are funky and the resolution is odd and it’s taking away from my enjoyment. Everything I know (or, more accurately, everything I’ve forgotten) about photography I learned in black and white film classes in high school and college.
Does anyone have an online course to recommend?

Coming in a little late here …
I took a digital photography class at the community college this summer so I could finally learn how to use our DSLR. It was a four credit class and a ton of work. And although I learned a lot about my camera, it also covered how to use photoshop (which I don’t even have on my computer at home), so it was more than I really needed. Honestly, Cat, you could probably spend some time reading info on the ‘net or a short “basics” book and gather all you need to refresh your knowledge of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc.
Let us know if you find an online course or if you decide to do something else. Cool photos are fun to make!
I just got my first DSLR (Nikon D40) and Looove it.
My hubby got me the “Nikon D40 for Dummies” book which has been incredibly helpful. Not to mention, you should try this site:

Her photography section is brilliant.
Good Luck
