A friend of mine who was in the army (pre Iraq war) got hazerdous duty pay pay for trying out new uniforms.

Poor Tata.... When we had the stomach flu, I asked N3nny to stay ... I warned her she'd probably get sick... She did. It's a great nanny who doesn't complain.

Yup, life takes a lot of time... I find it hard to work a great deal of the time, but that's a theme on my blog!

Oh, and television when a caregiver is sick doesn't count! Heh. [I can say this with authority even...I'm a developmental psychologist. :-) ]

Oh my! What a predicament. Well, a little too much TV didn't hurt a lot of people, so a day or 2 here or there won't do any permanent damage. I hate that it is only the people who are responsible employees that fret over having to miss work for valid reasons. The rest of the world doesn't seem to mind missing work over things way less tramatic as oh, say, miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. Go easy on yourself. It is just a bad patch and you will more than make up for it in months to come.

Hope you are doing well, besides. As well as can be expected, anyway.

Better. Tata seems like she's part of the family now, so a day vegging? A single day? Big deal. Especially if you stocked up the fridge on popsicles and ginger ale.

You're right. I've got a job interview tomorrow and all I can think is 'If I have to work past X, who'll pick up the baby? And what about Cass? Who's going to be there after school?' sigh.
