I quit my job today! My head is spinning. Last Wednesday, I got a call from a recruiter. I listened, went to an interview on Friday, received an offer on Monday, got paperwork yesterday, and resigned today. I really liked my current job, but I’ll have the opportunity to learn about a whole new industry… for a lot more money. Enough more that we will be able to fund our retirement accounts and Gatito’s college account and not have to ask my parents to pay for preschool next year.
The hours should be decent, the commute about five minutes shorter, and travel once in a blue moon. But I won’t have my Fridays from home anymore, and I definitely won’t have Friday morning art class with Gatito. I’m sad about that, and also sad about leaving a really great team (and my great reputation!) behind, but it’s time.
I’ll be at my current job for two more weeks and I’ll take two weeks off before starting on January 7. I’m nervous. Tell me it will all be okay!

I hope all this personal turmoil will serve as adequate excuse/explanation for my being late in getting the first bloggy book club started. Please hop on over to Read! and start chatting! See you there!
Good luck! It will all be ok!
What?!? OMG! I think it WILL be okay. Learning is good and A LOT more money is great!
I’ll be over to the bloggy book club and send folks there from my blog today as well.
Woo hoo! Congrats on the job–and the cash!
