The cutest story I have with signing is when my son would sign "please" when he REALLY wanted something. And I just had to give in because he was so damn cute. Also "No" comes in handy when I want to correct his behavior but not make a scene. There are times that we will have an "argument" signing "no" and "yes". It is quite funny. I wish I had done it with my daughter because signing really comes in handy. Have a great day!

I'm not a total lurker, but I don't comment often either. I enjoy hearing about Gatito, he reminds me of when my boys were little. I taught my older son a little sign language when he was a baby - eat and drink was all he really mastered. Sometimes he still uses the signs instead saying what he wants out loud. He also likes to just say the first letter of the word for things he wants so we have to guess at exactly what he means. He's a strange little boy....
