Do you watch Scrubs? Last night when Turk asked Carla if she knew what it was like to have a baby she said, "Dr. Cox says it’s like having a dog that slowly learns how to talk." I’m too embarrassed to admit how long I giggled over that.
Sometimes when I’m walking a cranky Gatito around the house, I notice the cats’ food bowls are empty and for a brief second I think I’ve discovered the cause of said crankiness before I realize no, that’s not right..
His nails are about as sharp as the cats’ claws as well, and he likes having them filed down just as much as they like having theirs clipped. More than once I’ve caught myself thinking the vet pediatrician could take care of it at his next appointment but again, no.
Speaking of which, his two month appointment is on Friday. I’m curious to see if his weight has caught up with Crazy’s (14 pounds). But more than that, I need to discuss his green poops. Have heard this can be from the Nestle Good Start. Have any of you had this experience?
Status update
Milk: still there five weeks later! But only when I squeeze to check.
Weight: still 148, after a quick trip back up to 150 and down again. I caved and bought another pair of fat pants last Friday. Which I actually love so much I’ve worn them (and the sweater I bought at the same time) every day since.
I know Gatito is on formula, but all of Mimi’s poops are green. It used to freak me out, but I’m sure it’s from my abundant milk and her abundant snot.
The only pets we have are lizards, and I’m embarassed to say at least one of them has died since Mimi was born.
This is why we should not have a second child.

Oh, the magic day when the child weighs more than the pet…could be awhile at our house. R is almost fifteen months, and the chumba-cat still has seven pounds on her…..
Of course, minus her hair (sob) it could be more….

Gabe’s poops are green too and he is on Nestle Good Start. Breast poops were yellow and formula poops are now green. Don’tcha just love the new topics for discussion in a mother’s world?!
Green seems like a good, natural colour to me. I remember that colour very well, in fact I’m wearing a shirt that colour right now. Matches my eyes. You’re still 20 lbs under where I was when I got pregnant so I’d call those pants the “just not as slim as I’d like to be” pants. Sorry I missed you tonight, I was rejigging my site template. Go see.
I remember thinking my first (N) needed to go to the vet for her check-ups. We did take her to the ped, but it was hard not to say vet! When we took our two fur-babes for their check-up, I remember weighing N on the scale at the vet.
Now with 3 non-furry ones, I am in the ped office every single month for a well-baby check. Literally. Because of the way their birthdays fall, I have gone every month since August. Scary huh?
