I was giggling my head off by the time A got home so he figured something was up and then he found an egg. And then he worried about the real eggs so he had to find all of those. And by then he was obsessed and wouldn’t stop until he’d uncovered most of the rest. I think there are some chocolate ones still out there, but we’ve lost count since some of them were eaten.
Incidentally, all who saw the eggs in person thought they were pretty, but that could just be because everyone who saw them was either married to me or my parents. A did want to know why they were sticky. A question which I could not answer, but I can say the ones that now have cat fur stuck to them are really especially appealing. And there are sparkles everwhere– the counter, our faces, the cats. Insidious, really.
Following the excitement of the easter egg hunt, we went to bed at 9:30. Which meant we were up at 5:30 on Saturday morning, but never you fear, after my shower I went back to bed for a few more hours. We then went to visit some friends and their newborn baby. I got to snuggle him for a while and practice my Spanish with the visiting grandmother. (My once near-fluent Spanish has become atrocious, in case you were wondering.) Then there was a nap in the car on the way home, followed by a two-hour late afternoon nap. Then I fell asleep on the couch watching TV and was in bed again by 10:00. Sunday was more of the same. I’d blame it on the pregnancy but I think it has more to do with general laziness.
If you haven’t fallen asleep from the boredom of reading this post, perhaps you could tell me about the fun and exciting things you did this weekend and I can live vicariously through you.
All I did was sleep, bake a cake, sleep, wake up and eat, eat eat while 10 very loud Italian women rubbed my belly and commented on how big I was getting and how big everyone they ever knew was at 22 weeks along. The nice part? I didn’t have to get up or do dishes or serve food. SIT SIT is what was told. Was it fun and exciting? Mmmm, not sure I’m a good candidate for vicarious living as of late -I’ve taken “tame” to a whole new level.
Sorry I could give you nothing to work with!
I planted flowers and rearranged my classroom. Oh, and did four loads of laundry and finished a book. Nothing here to really live vicariously through . . .
I am so glad that your BEAUTIFUL and NOT IN THE LEAST BIT technicolor vomitous-colored egg hunt was a raging success!! Sounds like a brilliant Easter if you ask me.
The only bunnies in our house this weekend were dust bunnies and they were eliminated with a Swiffer. Other than that, “bangers and mash” for dinner and then off to beddie bye. We are a crazy nutty couple.
I studied viruses, then I read some Jonathan Kellerman, then some more viruses, then some more kellerman, then dog-walking/owner-dragging, then Sunday was a horrible day let’s not discuss it and I read Heaven Cent in bed.
Sorry. You should asked this 5-10 years ago.
